Comments: I lived in Cranbrook from 1979 - 1981 in fact my son was born there. We left to come back to Australia but I have always had nice thoughts about living in Cranbrook. We went back for a visit in 1992 - the kids have been back on their own a couple of times and we will be back in June next year. Its gotten a lot bigger of course but my old house is still there. But my favourite restaurant- "The Common Ground" seems to have gone - pity. Ahhh the Tamarack Mall.............

Comments: I've read most of the comments regarding Cranbrook. That second last one was a little bitter...I do have one question though that was brought up...Why aren't there pictures of Cranbrook? You should have local's (me) Submit photoes to be used on this web site. We do have a beautiful little city and we should show it off!!!
Comments: Those pictures are very nice but too bad none of them really show cranbrook.
For the people who have never been here...
The wildlife shots are outside of cranbrook That old church is on the reserve The person at the ski hill is in Kimberly Fort Steele is not Cranbrook
For the people who havent been here in ahwile...
I hear from people who lived in Cranbrook all there life or not long ago that people would ride there horses to work and there was always fun stuff to do. Well your in for a suprise when you see it now. They've done a bit of facelifting but Cranbrook is so Ugly! The buildings are not old historic buildings but cheap 80's ones. When you drive through Cranbrook it's like driving through an industrial park and your wondering where the city is, until you get downtown... Creston has a more unique downtown and it's tiny!
Admin reply: For your information this site states that it is showcasing Cranbrook and surrounding area. I have to disagree with you completely that Cranbrook is ugly and it is unfortunate that you feel that way. We have many new photos of Cranbrook on their way which will show a good idea of what the downtown area is like as well as surrounding areas to prompt tourism.
